we encourage members to use their musical talents where possible

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

Music at St Thomas' is modeled along the lines of the above scripture. When we sing, we sing words which will build us up as Christians: words which will build our relationship with God, and words which will build our relationships within the church.

With gratitude and joy we sing of our Saviour Jesus, and the overwhelming love that he has shown us at the cross. The style of music varies between each service, but the message is always the same.

 
• At the 8am Communion Service, we sing four traditional hymns with pipe organ accompaniment.

• At the 10am Family Service we have a mixture of hymns and contemporary songs with organ or instruments.

• The 5pm & 7pm Services sing mainly contemporary choruses and songs of praise with a full band.

Musicians and singers are also involved in leading the sung praise and worship of God at our Prayer Meetings and other gatherings.

We currently have over 40 musicians, and are always keen to have more people involved. Please let us know if you would like to share in this important ministry.
