The Rest ParkAn Act of Parliament in 1967 designated the area as 'community land' and the Cemetery was handed over to North Sydney Council* (see notes below). The conversion of the Cemetery to Rest Park in the early 1970s was the Council's first heritage project and the Rest Park was reopened in 1974. The Rest Park is open to the public every day.
The Sexton's Cottage MuseumOn the edge of the park The Sexton's Cottage is a small museum which houses a copy of the burial register and a history of St Thomas' Church and Cemetery. The Museum is located at 250 West St, Crows Nest, (ph 9957 1557) and is open on Thursdays 1-4pm and the first Sunday in every month 2-4pm.
