vestry meeting

… this is the church's AGM

The AGM (Vestry Meeting) is usually held each year on a Monday evening in March.

At this meeting (which is open to all members of St Thomas') office holders for the coming year are elected, and reports are heard from the Rector, Wardens, ministry co-ordinators, and various committees. A detailed report on the church's finances is also presented.

Nominations for office holders are open in the three weeks before the Vestry Meeting, with Nomination Forms available in the church or from the church office.

The 2011 Vestry Meeting was held in the Memorial Hall on Monday 21st March, and the office holders were elected for the year 2011–2012.

Members of St Thomas' who are interested in participating in the work of the church in one of these areas should contact the appropriate Parish Councillor to discuss the possibility of being involved.

The other Parish Councillors are specially to be representatives to and from Parish Council in the year ahead.

The next AGM is scheduled to be held in March 2012 (exact date TBD).
