Children (K – 6)
“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done” – Psalm 78:4b
Children are a wonderful gift from God and are valued members of our St Thomas’ family. We want children to know, serve and proclaim Jesus as their Saviour and King and to stand firm in their faith throughout their lives. We teach from the Bible through a mix of games, singing, drama, craft and other fun and energetic activities.
Our leaders aim to be great Christian role models for the children as we partner with parents in teaching and discipling children. All leaders are approved and trained as set out in the Anglican Church guidelines.
Sunday School provides a fun and safe place to develop friendships and learn from the Bible through a mix of games, singing, a Bible talk, discussion and prayer.
Each Sunday, the children come into the 10am church service with their parents/carers. After a brief “message for young and old” they move off to their various groups with the help of their leaders, who wear bright blue polo shirts for easy recognition.
Our Sunday School is divided by age into five groups:
Tiny Toms – 18 months to 3 years
Tom Thumbs – Preschoolers (3 – 5 years old)
Stomp – Kindy, Years 1 & 2
Phantom – Years 3 & 4
Atomic – Years 5 & 6

For a fun Friday afternoon during term time, come along to JAFFA, held at the Memorial Hall at the Church.
JAFFA is a great place for the children to hang out, meet new friends, eat some afternoon tea, play games and explore what the Bible tells us about God. Parents need to sign out their children when they come to pick them up from the Memorial Hall at 4:45pm.
